Recommendations for Success
To achieve success with posture exercise therapy, you must:
Commit to doing your routine at least five days a week, preferably in the morning.
Do the exercises in the sequence listed in the routine.
Review the video for each exercise and follow the instructions carefully.
Focus on proper alignment and form as described in the video and written instructions.
Avoid rushing through an exercise or routine! Keep the tempo to a steady & reasonable pace.
Concentrate on achieving muscular balance so each side of the body is working equally.
Expect some discomfort, but avoid an exercise that causes or increases pain.
Minor setbacks DO occur. If you experience a setback, DO NOT quit the program!
Take note of how you feel before and after doing the exercises, and throughout the day.
Provide me with feedback so together we can create the most effective routines for you.
DON’T try to change your posture by wearing a posture correcting device.
DO become conscientious of how you sit and stand, and at least try to sit up straight.
Avoid doing other types of exercise that may cause compensations or misalignments.
Keep me informed of your involvement with other therapies, like massage & chiropractic.[1]
