Inspiring People
Many people have helped me on this journey. . . you can learn about what they provided me by reading below, and clicking the links for more information:
My mentor is Matt Whitehead, owner of Oregon Exercise Therapy. Matt has been (and still is) a great resource to me and other therapists, and to his clients. He has written some excellent articles that you can read on his blog, and he offers advanced training to me and many of my colleagues through private coaching, workshops, and small study groups.
“The Team” at PTX Therapy have created a great software platform for posture therapists like me to use to help our clients. In particular, Carol Gamboa and Charlie Furgason have been super responsive and supportive throughout my time as a PTX-licensed therapist.
Tom Meyers is the founder of Anatomy Trains. His book of the same name, and all of his teachings - including the Live Dissection courses he teaches with Todd Garcia, owner of Laboratories of Anatomical Enlightenment - have been beneficial to my understanding of the importance of our exquisite fascial connective tissue.
Katy Bowman is a wealth of information, a great teacher, author of many fun and informative books, and a force to be reckoned with when it comes to our understanding of the biomechanics of human movement. Learn more about her and her large body of work at her website, Nutritious Movement.
I am indebted to Pete Egoscue for his brilliant ability to understand the important connection between a person’s posture and their pain. Reading his books - all of which are available on Amazon - changed the course of my life.
