Is Posture Exercise Therapy for Me?
If you have pain and limitations …and are willing to commit to doing the prescribed exercises, then YES, posture exercise therapy is for you.
If you have or have been diagnosed with:
Degenerative disc, hip, knee, shoulder or spinal issues
Shoulder issues: rotator cuff tear or repair, dislocations, post-surgery or physical therapy
Kyphosis
Migraines
Old injury limitations to any joint
Osteoarthritis
Parkinson’s-related physical limitations/weakness/changes
Pelvic floor muscle weakness/issues
Flat feet, Plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, or other foot or ankle problems
Scoliosis, spinal stenosis, spondylolistheses
TMJ
And a myriad of other physical problems including issues with breathing, digestion, circulation and/or neuropathy.
…and are willing to commit to doing the prescribed exercises, then YES, it’s for you.
A picture is worth a thousand words, eh?
Posture exercise therapy is not a program to specifically fix any of the above-named issues. It is a program designed to improve your posture. But you must do the exercises to experience the benefits of improved posture. Many cases of pain and limitations are attributed to a diagnosed “disease” or “chronic condition,” but it is often the position (of the body) that causes pain and other symptoms, not the condition of the body (whatever that condition may be called).
